WELCOME to Saint james uMC!!

As you review ministries and opportunities on our website, please don't hesitate to call and allow us the chance to personally speak with you and answer any questions you may have or discover ways we can work together. We, at Saint James, are excited about welcoming new persons into our church community and activities. While I am the 'new' senior pastor at Saint James, it has already become very clear to me that the people of this family are open-armed, passionate people desiring to relate to others in the name of Christ! It is a joy for me to serve God with the members and friends of Saint James. Many outreach opportunities may be offering something that interests you or raises a question for you, as to how to get involved, please give us call and allow us the privilege of sharing with you.

One of the highlights of the Saint James community is when we gather for worship on Sunday mornings. Plan now to attend one of the three Sunday morning services this next week and know that we will welcome you with joy and invite you to share in the ministry with us. There is always childcare available during times of worship, if you need the service. If you are attending worship for the first time, feel free to bring a friend along, everyone is always welcome! We as United Methodists will have "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors!"

You may like to know that Saint James offers ministries for children, teenagers, young adults and all adults! Please let us know what YOUR needs or interests are and we can connect you in the area OR simply talk with us so we can begin to treasure a relationship with you and journey together in "doing life together"! Our Church family voices its mission as "Bringing Christ to People by bringing people to Christ"!! While we at Saint James are beginning a new "chapter" in ministry over these coming weeks, it definitely would be tremendous if you were part of the growth and developing ministries!! Know that YOU ARE invited and encouraged to come help us grow and learn together. These truly are exciting days for Saint James and this part of Sarasota because God IS doing a great thing in our hearts and lives which must be shared and offered to all we meet!
