Confirmation this year was brilliant! We had an intensive weekend learning about our faith and ourselves, all while in the company of friends! I think that a lot of us were put more directly on our path and others were finally stepping foot on their own path to faith. Being confirmed into the church was a very special event for all of us and we hope to continue to be involved in St. James UMC. ~ Bailey Pilat |

Confirmation was really fun! I learned a lot and got to know my fellow youth groupers better! I got to ask questions that no one has ever answered for me before. It meant a lot that Pastor Kim, Brian and Elisa took the time for us to have the experience. I loved every minute of it. Thank you so much! ~ Stephanie Gray

Confirmation is something you do once in your life. Having Pastor Kim, Brian and Elisa there, and also my youth group, made this experience even better. I learned many things from my confirmation weekend and a lot of questions were answered. I learned many things about the church too. This experience was everything I hoped for and more. Thank you! ~ Danielle Gray

| Going to confirmation was like going to a field of flowers, I could just sit down and relax and let all of my worries leave me. At first I was thinking that it would be boring and pointless. However, I was way off! The campsite we gathered at was absolutely amazing. The first day we were there we each received a binder with some papers in them. While sitting at a large table, the nine of us each were asked to write a story on our relationship with God. I wrote a short paragraph and drew a small picture, everyone else did about the same thing. I was really impressed with Brian's, he drew a picture of a pathway with a cross at the end, a trail of footsteps was zigzagging on and off of the path, finally at the end was a picture of Brian himself kneeling at the foot of the cross. It was a completely original idea that clearly symbolized the point the was trying to make. I also connected the fact that every person there had written about the same thing, they loved the lord, then they lost track of him, and somewhere they had reconnected with him. After the two days had past, we had all had a fantastic time. I could tell that we were all that much closer to being with God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit had officially changed me forever. ~ Rylee Pilat |
